Primary Day 2017: Who's On The Ballot, Where To Vote In Manville

Tuesday, June 6, is also the final day to register as an independent candidate, and unaffiliated voters can vote in the primaries.

MANVILLE, NJ — On Tuesday, June 6 voters will be heading to the polls to cast their ballots in the primary election. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Locally in Manville Borough there are two - 3 year seats up for grab. The primaries are currently contested on the Republican side with four candidates vying for a spot. The Democratic election, however, is uncontested with two candidates running.

  • Stephen H. Szabo, 62 Louise Drive, Manville, 08835 - Rep
  • Joseph A. Lukac, III, 825 Bound Brook Avenue, Manville, 08835 - Rep
  • Dayna A. Camacho, 950 Lincoln Avenue, Manville, 08835 - Rep
  • Michael E. Kassick, 24 North 19th Avenue, Manville, 08835 - Rep
  • Sherri A. Lynn, 28 Washington Avenue, Manville, 08835 - Dem

On the county level there are two-three year term seats open for freeholder and one-five year term open for county clerk. Both are uncontested in the primaries.

Freeholder – Two - 3 year term

County Clerk – One – 5 year term

Tuesday at 4 p.m. is also the deadline for candidates to file independent bids to run for public office. Unaffiliated voters can vote in Tuesday’s primaries by showing up at the polls and registering with the party of the primary in which they intend to vote. Voters can change their affiliation back after the election is over.
