The Somerset County Federation of Democratic Women is honored to endorse candidate Erin Risch for a Borough Council position in the upcoming November 3, 2020 election.

Erin Risch is a New Jersey native, having grown up in Mountainside. While she has held jobs throughout the United States, New Jersey was always in her heart and she wanted to come home and serve her community.

Erin attended Pennsylvania State University, obtaining a degree in Supply Chain Management. She has been a resident of Manville since 2016, purchasing a home there in 2017. Erin saw the appeal and potential Manville offered, and this motivated her to do more and run for Council.

“Manville has a sense of community with friendly neighbors who say ‘Hi’ when you see them during the day. Running a town takes hard work, and I am no stranger to working hard. I want to serve and be part of the team, building relationships bringing together local, county, and state officials with local businesses to support growth, maintain and improve our walkable downtown, and keep a focus on pedestrian safety.” She feels revitalizing downtown is a critical step, keeping residential roads maintained and addressing the flood risks.

Currently, Erin Risch is employed as an Inventory Optimization Manager and has been with her company for 13 years. She has held various roles including project management, forecasting, and most recently in inventory optimization. Erin has experience working with business partners within the United States and in Canada. She coaches and develops various levels of the organization to drive decision-making that aligns to their business strategies.

As a resident, Erin Risch is concerned that stagnation will leave Manville behind as the surrounding communities push forward. She knows moving forward does not “just happen” - it takes planning, organization, and action. Her professional experience in organization is an asset to analyze the issues and develop actionable plans to move Manville forward.

Erin is passionate about getting involved and serving others. Her leadership experience equips her to bring people together and drive action toward a common goal. Erin will bring her vast knowledge and skills with her to Borough Council to benefit the residents of Manville.

For these reasons, the Somerset County Federation of Democratic Women endorses Erin Risch for the position of Manville Borough Councilwoman.
