Walmart of Manville Pledges $2500 in Community Support to NJCTS

The Somerville-based NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome recognize Walmart as Gold sponsor of NJ Walks for TS campaign.

SOMERVILLE (March 5, 2020) – NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders (NJCTS) is excited to announce that Walmart in Manville has pledged their support for the organizations largest fundraiser and public awareness campaign of the year through a $2,500 community giving grant.

Kids, teens and adults throughout New Jersey are creating teams with the goal to spread awareness about Tourette Syndrome as part of the NJ Walks for TS virtual event. Participants can walk wherever and whenever they like during April and May to bring awareness to this often misunderstood and misdiagnosed disorder.

NJCTS is celebrating its 15 anniversary as the nation’s first Center of Excellence for Tourette Syndrome. In that time, they have led the nation in providing programs to support families, create awareness, and educate schools and healthcare professionals in every corner of the state and have expanded its reach beyond New Jersey.

Proceeds from the walks benefit important NJCTS programs including educational outreach and youth advocacy training. Additional Gold sponsors include Asurion, Dietz & Watson, and Black Bear Deli Brand.
