Strothers coach, Ahmad Bashir, told News 12 Strothers is the youngest person in New Jersey to do this in in league competition. "At his age, I haven't seen anything like him,” Bashir said.

Strothers told NJ.com he accomplished the feat using the ball he calls "The Idol" and by keeping his cool.

“It was good, I didn’t get too excited,” Strothers said.

Kai's mother Sharonda told NJ.com she was not so collected.

“I was ecstatic, I was jumping around everywhere,” she said in the report. “You’re overwhelmed with pride and joy, and to see him accomplish something that grown adults that have been bowling for years and years haven’t done, it’s just amazing.”

Sharonda Strothers told NJ.com her son comes from a bowling family as Kai is the third generation to log significant time in league action at the lanes.

“He eats, sleeps and drinks bowling. That’s what he wants to do all the time,” Sharonda Strothers told News 12. “So it's one of those reward system things. OK, how are your grades in school? How's this? Then we can go bowling.”
