Maplewood Chamber of Commerce Kicks off 2013 with Meeting

Maplewood Chamber of Commerce will host its first meeting of 2013 on Wed., January 23 from 8 am to 9:30 a.m. at St. James Gate, 167 Maplewood Ave.

Breakfast will be served; $10 members, $20 guests RSVP by Tuesday, January 22 if you will be attending.

The meeting will feature the Do’s and Don’ts of Networking, presented by Karen Q. Pisciotta, KQ Consulting. Pisciotta is an experienced business consultant with over ten years' experience in financial and corporate communications and four years' experience working with entrepreneurs and small business owners.  She has helped executives and entrepreneurs define themselves and their businesses for clients, potential investors, strategic partners, and other constituents. Karen's advice has been instrumental in helping executives and small business owners alike refine how they present their business to others, influence the perception of their business, and develop key relationships.

Pisciotta has worked with private and publicly-traded companies as well as non-profit organizations on a variety of initiatives, including strategic planning, business plan writing, financial modeling, competitive analyses, marketing plan development, media outreach, and more. She lives in Maplewood with her husband Chris and their three children and is an alumna of Mount Holyoke College.
