This past weekend the M/SO Middle School Basketball Recreation League Championship game was held at the SOMS Gym.
In an extremely intense, back-and-forth game, Michigan edged Indiana 45-43 on a last second shot by Emma Leone, who also happened to be the only girl playing in the league.
Michigan coach Michael Sullivan stated, “All of the players, for both teams, played with great energy and determination. We were lucky enough to take the last shot.” Angel Medrano and Liam Sullivan led the Michigan team with 12 points each, while Sanford Brown anchored the Indiana team.
