Bereavement Group: South Orange, Maplewood Mourners Invited To Chatham Ceremony
"All are encouraged to come honor and remember their children, grandchildren and siblings in a tender and heartfelt ceremony."
The Chatham group of The Compassionate Friends invites bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings in South Orange and Maplewood to join their Annual Candle Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, in Halderson Hall at the Presbyterian Church of Chatham, 240 Southern Blvd.
The event is non-denominational, free and open to the public, organizers stated in a news release.
Facilitators include Maplewood resident Laura Lou Levy and South Orange resident Susan Severance Esformes.

“All are encouraged to come honor and remember their children, grandchildren and siblings in a tender and heartfelt ceremony, which will begin at 6:30 p.m.,” organizers said.
Participants should plan to arrive on time and are invited to bring a framed photograph for the group’s Memory Table. The groups also welcomes donations of non-alcoholic beverages and/or snacks.
