Cimino to Address Crime Prevention at Public Meeting

Police chief will be joined by TC member Marlon K. Brownlee at April 18 Hilton Neighborhood Assn. meeting.

Maplewood Chief of Police Robert Cimino and Township Committee Member Marlon K. Brownlee, Chairperson of Maplewood's Public Safety Committee, will address public safety issues in the town at the Hilton Neighborhood Association meeting on Thursday, April 18 at the DeHart Community Center (120 Burnett Avenue) at 7:30 p.m.

The topic of the meeting is "Community and Crime Deterrence." Attendees are invited to bring their questions, concerns and ideas to the meeting.

Brownlee will speak briefly about the Maplewood Community Action Program (MCAP), a new community building initiative he is spearheading that will kick off on April 22 at the Maplewood Memorial Library main branch from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Patch will have more details about that in a an upcoming article.)

Cimino said he will be encouraging citizens to stay alert and to notify police whenever they see anything suspicious.
