Cooling Center In Maplewood Opens Amid Heat Wave
With temperatures climbing past 90, Maplewood has announced a place residents can go to keep cool.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — In anticipation of the heat wave this week, several towns and counties are opening cooling centers where residents can go to beat the heat. In Maplewood, there will be two cooling centers open this week, tentatively open from today (Monday) through at least Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The cooling locations will be at the Maplewood Library's Main Building at 51 Baker St. and the Hilton Branch at 1688 Springfield Ave.

Please note that a mask is required inside the library buildings.
Anyone needing a cooling location after 6 p.m. should call the Maplewood Police at 973-762-1234.
