Early Bird Summer Camp Registration Extended
The South Mountain YMCA has extended summer camp early bird registration till Jan. 30. The first 100 registrants will receive a sweatshirt.

South Mountain YMCA Camps provide a safe and enriching environment for campers to participate in healthy, developmentally-appropriate activities and learning experiences. The camps focus on building self-esteem, confidence and social skills while increasing independence and health and wellness awareness. Your camper will have fun and make new friends while exploring new experiences.
The Early Bird Camp Registration Form is available here, and is a “type in form.” First 100 registrations receive a special #ICantWaitforSummer! sweatshirt. The next Open House date for camps in 2015 will be held on Tuesday, January 13 - 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Unless otherwise noted all camps will run from June 2 to August 28. Most camps will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m., unless noted.
The traditional camps available and their hours are for the 2015 summer are as follows:

- Mini Y-Knots - (2 1/2 - 4 years) Hours: 9:00 a.m. - 12 Noon
- Y Knots 1 Camp (Pre-Schoolers starting at 3 1/2 years) Hours: 9:00am-3pm
- Y Knots 2 Camp (Entering Kindergarten & 1st Grade) Hours: 9:30am-3:30pm
- SOMAPY Camp (Entering Grades 1-5)
- Pre-Teen Adventure Camp (Entering Grades 5 & 6)
- Teen Adventure Camp (Entering Grades 7 - 9)
- Counselor-in-Training (CIT) (Entering Grades 9 & 10)
Specialty camps being offered for the 2015 summer include some of the following:
- Creative Drama Camps (Entering Grades 1 -6)
- Environmental Awareness Camp (Entering Grades 2-4)
- Global Arts Camp (Entering Grades K-2)
- Sports Galore Camp - (Entering Grades K-5)
- GOLF Camp - (Entering Grades K-8)
How to Register: Download the 2-page Camp Registration form linked here. Return completed pages to the South Mountain YMCA. A doctor’s note is not needed for the immunization dates - just the date of the child’s last tetanus shot. A NON-Refundable deposit of $50 per week and a current membership throughout the length of Camp participation is required at the time of registration. The balance for all camp is due in full by May 15, 2015, or your child’s spot in camp may be opened up to the wait list and your deposit will be forfeited. Any changes made within 30 days of the start of camp will incur a $50 charge.
Before and After Camp Care Care is available for an additional fee for those parents that need coverage for their child before camp starts in the morning, and after it ends in the afternoon. Morning care begins at 7am, and afternoon care ends at 7pm. Both programs are held at the YMCA Jefferson Avenue location - except for the Drama, Global and
