Attorney Eric William Hildebrand Passes Away At 74

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Eric William Hildebrand, 74, passed away at home in Maplewood on Monday April 13, 2020. Eric was a lifelong resident of Maplewood. He received his bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College and his law degree from Brooklyn Law School.

Eric spent his career as a Defense Attorney for the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, NY, and took great pride in his life’s work.

A travel enthusiast and avid sports fan, Eric was also a devoted Columbia Cougars spectator.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Streepy Hildebrand, two daughters, Lauren Hildebrand and Kate Trachtenberg, daughter-in-law Lauren Muehlethaler Hildebrand, son-in-law Chris Trachtenberg, two grandchildren, Wesley and Margaret Hildebrand, and his sisters Christine and Virginia Hildebrand.
