Full Day Of Rain, Some Heavy, Expected For Maplewood Area
March may go out like a lion. The NWS expects wet weather from late Wednesday into Thursday, possibly a thunderstorm.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — After a pair of bright spring days, March may well go out like a lion. But skies will clear again by the weekend, the National Weather Service says.
The forecast for Maplewood calls for rain between 2 p.m. Wednesday and 2 p.m. Thursday, with possible thunderstorms and heavy rainfall at night.

Wednesday: Showers, mainly after 2 p.m. High near 68. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 m.p.h in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Patchy fog. Low around 40. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 9 m.p.h. after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Thursday: Showers, mainly before 2 p.m. Steady temperature around 43. Northwest wind around 15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 26 m.p.h. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Thursday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Northwest wind 10 to 15 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 26 m.p.h.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Northwest wind around 11 m.p.h.
Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 29.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 55.
