Get Your Maplewoodstock Gear Saturday in the Village

Maplewoodstock is fast approaching (the two-day concert is July 13 and 14 in Maplewood's Memorial Park), and this one promises the be the best one yet.

"We are very excited about our tenth year," said organizer Gary Shippy. "Our goal always is to put on the best show for the community and of the community."

This year's headliner, who will close the Sunday show, is none other than Joan Osborne. Shippy said because their budget has grown over the years, they have been able to attract musicians of Osborne's caliber.

The budget has been given a boost through the sale of specially designed Maplewoodstock t-shirts. This year's shirt, by local artist Michael Choi, perfectly captures the 10th year theme: MWSX.

Shippy will be in front of the Bank of America on Maplewood Avenue all day Saturday -- until 9 p.m. -- selling the ultra cool t-shirts. Stop by and buy one today.
