From First Apartment to Empty Nest: Meet Andrea Wren-Hardin

If you've been to the Turnover Sale, you've seen Andrea Wren-Hardin.

If you've been to the Turnover Sale, you've seen Andrea Wren-Hardin.  While Andrea has pitched in all over the sale, customers are most likely to find her in the tent, selling furniture. We asked her why she loves to sell.

How long have you volunteered at the Turnover Sale?

About 10 years.

 What keeps you coming back?

I love the people I work with and the customers who come back year after year.

You work in furniture quite often. Can you tell us what people are looking for in that department?

I often see young people who are shopping for a college dorm or first apartment. And some of what we have donated is from empty nesters in the community. I enjoy helping our customers during their times of transition.

What should people know before they shop for furniture?

Measure your spaces -- especially doorways -- before you come.  And if you like it, buy it!  Merchandise sells quickly.

What's your advice for the first-time Turnover shopper?

Be patient and be flexible.  We have a lot of rooms and a lot of stuff.

Bring a spirit of adventure.  And if you are looking for something in particular, don't be afraid to ask a volunteer.  And come back often; we have new items everyday!

The grand opening is July 2nd from 7 – 9pm.  Additional dates for the Turnover Sale are Tuesdays – July 2nd, 9th, and 16th (7:00pm – 9:00pm); Thursdays – 11th, and 18th (9am – 12pm); Saturdays – July 6th and 13th (9am – 12pm). The last day of the sale is Thursday – July 18th (9am – 12pm).

Drop off your quality donations June 15th through July 13th (not during sale dates).
