There has been one death related to the virus in Maplewood.

The number of cases of the illness caused by the virus, known as COVID-19, continue to rise and additional measures and closures continue to be announced.

South Orange and Maplewood schools have extended their closures until at least April 17. MORE

There is now an Essex County drive-through testing site for Essex County residents who are symptomatic with COVID-19 symptoms. The site is at Weequahic Park in Newark.
