Maplewood Avenue Closing Wednesday

Paving will take the thoroughfare out of commission from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. officials said.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - The milling is complete and now paving a striping will close down Maplewood Avenue for 12 hours on Wednesday, according to officials.

Paving is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and go through 7 p.m. and will be completed in one day, officials said. Maplewood Avenue will be closed in sections starting at Durand Road during paving operations but expect to be reopened within two hours after paving each section.

Officials are asking motorists adhere to all parking restrictions and traffic diversions and that drivers and patrons exercise caution when visiting the Village while Improvements are being completed. Previously designated temporary loading areas, parking lots and access behind Clarus will remain open during this time, officials said.
