MAPLEWOOD, NJ - They weren't in a ladder up a tree, but the Maplewood Fire Department was instead inside a home with power tools to rescue a cat that was caught in some duct work, Thursday.

Officials said they never know what is what is waiting for them during their tours of duty, and last Thursday was no exception. The 4th Platoon responded to a residence on the reported “Animal Rescue” and after some handy work, the MFD was able to locate and safely remove this cat from the ductwork in the house.
