Maplewood July 4th Fireworks, Circus, Music And More: 2018 Guide

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood's Fourth of July celebration returns “bigger than ever” for 2018 on Wednesday, July 4. This year’s attractions include a full day of festivities in Memorial Park, with live music on two concert stages, a carnival midway, boardwalk games, two food courts, a classic car show and the Zerbini Family Circus.

The first scheduled activities at Memorial Park begin at 9 a.m., with a “light show spectacular” on two concert stages at 9:25 p.m. and a fireworks launch afterward. Wristbands will be required for all north and south field prime viewing areas.

Memorial Park is adjacent to the Maplewood NJ Transit train station. A free jitney service will be running from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. from SOPAC (South Orange Performing Arts Center). Free parking will be available on nearby streets (no parking, except for disabled, on streets immediately surrounding Memorial Park). Parking for disabled persons will be located in three places: Dunnell St between Oakland Rd and Oakview Ave; Baker St. near Baker Entrance Gate; and parking lot behind Town Hall on Valley St.
