Maplewood Memorial Day 2016: Parade Scheduled, Police Issue Traffic Advisory

Maplewood, NJ – The Maplewood Police Department issued the following advisory regarding the town’s 2016 Memorial Day celebration on Monday, May 30.

“On Memorial Day there will be several road closures while we honor those that have served our country. There will be a parade that begins on West Parker Ave. at approximately 9 AM, travels South on Maplewood Ave., East on Baker St. and then north on Valley St. concluding in front of Town Hall. At the conclusion of the parade, there will be a Memorial Day service in front of Maplewood Town Hall.”

The MPD continued:

“The above streets will be closed during the parade and Valley St. will be closed in the area of Town Hall while the Memorial Day service is being conducted. Additionally, Oakview Ave. will also be closed between Valley St. and Dunnell Rd .from approximately 7 AM to 1 PM.”
