Maplewood Named Among Best Places To Live In New Jersey

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Using metrics ranging from the school district to employment to weather, the website Niche.com, which connects families with places to live and schools, has ranked Summit among the top communities to live in New Jersey.

Here are this year's Top 15 communities in New Jersey:

5. Upper Montclair

7. Ho-Ho-Kus

10. Monmouth Junction
11. Short Hills
12. Summit

14. Plainsboro
15. Westfield

Maplewood came in at number 79 on the list, between Florham Park and Hopewell. It got an overall grade of A+ and the feel was described as "dense suburban."

Niche.com utilizes data from public sources including the Department of Education, FBI, and U.S. Census, as well as reviews, to decide on livability.
