Maplewood Woman’s Club Observes Child Abuse Prevention with Pinwheels
Marking Prevent Child Abuse Awareness Month.

Â
From the Maplewood Woman's Club:
You may have seen pinwheels around the Maplewood Woman’s Club sign. Pinwheels have been chosen by Prevent Child Abuse America because they symbolize a happy, carefree and healthy childhood. April is Prevent Child Abuse awareness month which the Woman’s Club participates in. We have a role to play in the development of our children and that includes becoming involved in situations where children’s wellbeing is or can be jeopardized. 90% of child sexual abuse involves a person known to the child. To find out more go www.preventchildabusenj.org. To report abuse or any suspicion of abuse you can call 1-877-NJ ABUSE.
