Maplewood Women's History Month Events Continue This Week

The events, which are being held through the South Orange Maplewood Celebrate Women group, are running for the rest of this week.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — As Women’s History Month continues, SOMA Celebrates Women will continue to hold special events this week that recognize the historical achievements of women.

The events, which have been taking place throughout March, are designed to feature events that educate, empower, support and create solidarity. The events are also being held to help amplify women’s voices to honor the past, inform the present and inspire the future, according to the South Orange Maplewood (SOMA) website.

On Thursday, the group will hold its annual breakfast with the theme of Women Leading Through Crisis. The event will run between 9:30-10:30 a.m. Each year, the women’s empowerment breakfast is held to bring the community together and is held to carry out the group’s mission to inspire women as they thrive in their respective communities.
