Peaceful 'No War With Iran' Protest Planned in Maplewood
Participants will protest aggressions against Iran.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — MoveOn.org is hosting a day of peaceful protests scattered across the country called "No War With Iran: Day of Action." One is planned for Maplewood Thursday evening, Jan. 9.
The "Rally to Demand No War with Iran and to Protest Trump's Provocations" is set to take place at Ricalton Park in Maplewood Village on Maplewood Avenue, across the street from the Maplewood Theatre.
The local event is scheduled for 5 p.m. and is hosted by "Paul S."

The description from the national organization reads, "We will not be forced into another war. On Thursday, January 9, at 5 p.m. local time, the anti-war majority in this country will get visible to oppose Trump's war and say #NoWarWithIran. Trump's reckless action has needlessly endangered countless lives of U.S. troops, Iraqis, Iranians, and countless other civilians. The devastation that a war with Iran could bring upon the earth and humanity cannot be overstated—millions of lives hang in the balance. None of us will win, except politicians and corporations. Even more resources that our communities desperately need will be wasted on unnecessary violence..."
