Police Release Photos of Shopkeeper Shooter
Man allegedly shot owner of MS&K Confectionery in the torso in an armed robbery Monday.
Maplewood Police released video surveillance pictures Friday morning and a description of the man wanted in the armed mid-day robbery and shooting of a Maplewood business owner on Monday.
The police also added additional details about the incident at MS&K Confectionery on Prospect Street, including that the man allegedly demanded the storekeeper open the cash register. Previously, police would not specify if the man attemped to steal money from the register or the store's ATM.

The man is described as a medium to light skinned African American or Hispanic male, heavy set, possibly with a muscular build, wearing either a mustache or goatee and between 6’ and 6’3” tall, said Sgt. Christopher Black. The man is believed to be in his late 30’s or 40’s, Black said.
