Police: Teen Purse Snatching, Attempted Burglary
Both incidents were last Thursday afternoon.

A teenage boy allegedly snatched a purse from a 16-year-old girl who was walking on Jefferson Avenue last Thursday afternoon, according to Sgt. Christopher Black of the Maplewood Police Department.Â
The boy approached the girl from behind as she was walking home at around 2:45 p.m. on June 20, said Black. The boy asked her the time and then snatched the purse off her shoulder and ran to a tan car waiting on Kendal Avenue, said Black.Â
Also, a Summit Avenue resident returned home on the afternoon of June 20 to find the front door open and several drawers rummaged through, said Black, who said nothing was reported missing from the house.Â
