Road Work Altering Hilton Jitney Schedule

MAPLEWOOD, NJ - From Monday through Wednesday milling and resurfacing Boyden Avenue between Van Ness Terrace and Springfield Avenue will be altering the jitney schedule and the traffic pattern, according to officials.

Once milling is complete, traffic will be opened until the paving work begins. Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and to expect delays

Due to the paving of Boyden Avenue, the following changes Hilton Jitney passengers need to be aware of:

• After 7 a.m., passengers who board at Boyden Avenue at Harding Street with board at Newark Way and Shaeffer Road.
• There is also the option to board the Maplecrest bus at the DeHart Community Center located at 120 Burnett Avenue or the Elmwood Jitney at 180 Boyden Avenue.
• After 7 a.m., Passengers who board at Van Ness Terrace and Van Ness Court will board at Shaeffer Road and Jacoby Street.
