SOMS Teacher Will Pursue Donaldson Hearing

Eighth grade teacher Steven Cohen says he will pursue rehire.

has requested a Donaldson hearing from the South Orange - Maplewood Board of Education. The at South Orange Middle School notified Patch on Thursday of his decision; he has no further comment.

Cohen is one of two teachers at SOMS who were not rehired towards tenure, igniting protests for the past several weeks. The other teacher, Kathleen McCort, has made no statement.
