South Orange Chef Demonstrates Cooking in Maplewood

The Bunco Babes of Maplewood had the pleasure of a cooking demonstration and eating extravaganza, Friday, with Chef Jesse Jones of the South Orange Heart and Soul catering fame.

Several of the ladies had bid on the donated services of Chef Jesse as part of the Maplewood Rotary Club’s Gift of Life event in April. The proceeds of which are donated to provide care to children that suffer from congenital heart defects in developing countries.

The menu included roasted pumpkin soup, an onion tart, double cut brined and blackened pork chops, sautéed kale, truffled mashed potatoes and a flourless chocolate soufflé.

"It was a wonderful evening where everyone benefitted the Babes, Chef Jesse and most importantly, children in need," members said.
