Two Vie for Maplewood TC in Tuesday Primary

One Democratic incumbent and one Republican are each running uncontested for a seat on the Maplewood Township Committee.

New Jerseyans will have their chance to vote in the primary election on Tuesday. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. In Maplewood's race for Township Committee, one Republican and one Democrat will each run uncontested to represent their parties in the November election.

Democratic incumbent Marlon K. Brownlee will run again. Republican  who has twice run unsuccessfully—most recently in November against incumbents Deputy Mayor Kathleen Leventhal and Jerry Ryan—will throw his hat in the ring again.

Brownlee was elected to the committee in 2010, beating Republican candidate Bart Albini.
