Woman Dies After 10-Story Fall From Newark High Rise

35-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene after attempts to revive her were unsuccessful.

A 35-year-old woman fell to her death from a 10th floor Newark apartment Thursday afternoon.

The unidentified woman was found unconscious and unresponsive in the Stephen Crane Village housing project’s parking lot on Evergreen Lane at about noon Thursday, according to NJ.com.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene after attempted to revive her were unsuccessful, the report said.

An unidentified man was handcuffed outside the building at about 1 p.m. Thursday, but it was not immediately clear if it was connected to the woman’s death, the report said.
