These Are NJ's 'Best Places To Live': See Homes For Sale There

Two New Jersey towns made Money magazine's coveted list of Best Places To Live In America for 2018.

Parsippany and Union Township were included in Money's new rankings, which were released Monday in partnership with Realtor.com. The list of the 50 best places to live in America was compiled by looking at more than 135,000 data points including economic health, cost of living, diversity, public education, crime and income, according to Money. Reporters also researched each community, interviewed residents and checked out neighborhoods.

Money said Parsippany schools had "among the highest scoring of any New Jersey locale we evaluated."

And, while Parsippany is close to bigger cities like Manhattan and Newark, you wouldn't know it from its green space: "Home to more than 30 parks, Parsippany is an Arbor Day Foundation-designated Tree City USA — and has been for 42 years, one of the longest in the state."

Money said Union Township has a cultural mix that "manifests in the town's lineup of holiday activities which include a performance of 'It's a Wonderful Life,' a Kwanzaa celebration, and a discounted dinner at Gusta Rosso, an Italian restaurant.
