$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold In NJ; Locations For Multiple Winners Announced

New Jersey locations were announced for big winners.

Somebody won $1 million in the weekend Powerball drawing in New Jersey.

One New Jersey Lottery ticket sold that matched the 5 white balls drawn to win the $1 million second-prize for the Saturday drawing. If that ticket had been purchased with the Power Play Multiplier option, it would have doubled the prize to $2 million, lottery officials said.

The winning ticket was purchased in Middlesex County at Pantry 1 Food Mart, 101 Lincoln Blvd., Middlesex. The winning numbers for the Saturday drawing were: 11, 21, 31, 41 a n d 59.

The Red Power Ball number was 21. The Multiplier number was 03.

In addition, two New Jersey Lottery tickets were sold that matched the 4 white balls and the Powerball drawn, winning the $50,000 third prize. If those tickets had been purchased with Power Play, it would have multiplied the prize to $150,000.

The tickets were purchased at the following locations:
  • Atlantic County: Imports of the World, 1301 Boardwalk, Atlantic City; and
  • Union County: 7-Eleven #33256 (N), 205 US Highway 22, Springfield.

In addition to the second and third-tier prizewinning tickets sold, there were 30,382 New Jersey players who took home an estimated $168,270 in prizes ranging from $4 to $300, according to Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.

“Congratulations to all of the lottery players who purchased winning tickets and to the retailers that sold them,” said Hedinger. “The Powerball excitement continues to build as the jackpot climbs to $165,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Wednesday, May 10 at 10:59 pm.”
