After Man Dies Of Heroin/Fentanyl OD, Middlesex 'Dealer' Arrested

MIDDLESEX, NJ — The Middlesex County prosecutor's office continues to aggressively go after those who allegedly sell drugs that cause fatal overdoses.
Case in point: A man from Middlesex borough was arrested this week on charges that he sold the toxic heroin and fentanyl combo that killed a 31-year old fellow Middlesex County resident in 2016.
James Dimino, 33, of Middlesex was charged with one count of strict liability for a drug-induced death. He was also charged with the distribution of a controlled dangerous substance. The man was found dead in his home on May 16 of 2016.

The Middlesex County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be the result of the combined toxic effects of heroin and fentanyl.
Dimino was arrested Tuesday, September 4.

During the investigation it was determined that Dimino sold the combination of heroin and fentanyl to the victim, which caused his death on May 16, 2016. He was arrested and charged by Detective Paul Steffanelli of the Middlesex Police Department and Detective Michael Connelly of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Dimino is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending a Detention Hearing scheduled for Friday, September 7, 2018 in New Brunswick Superior Court.
