ENT and Allergy Associates Continues to Grow Central NJ Footprint

Practice welcomes Jay B. Horowitz, M.D., F.A.C.S., and Kenneth A. Kaplan, M.D., expanding to a newly-renovated East Brunswick office

East Brunswick, N.J. (November 28, 2018) – ENT and Allergy Associates LLP (ENTA), the nation’s preeminent otolaryngology specialty and sub-specialty practice, is proud to announce that otolaryngologists Jay B. Horowitz, M.D., F.A.C.S., and Kenneth A. Kaplan, M.D., will join the group effective April 1, 2019. The physicians currently service Advanced Otolaryngology Associates of Central NJ (AOANJ) in East Brunswick and Morganville. As part of a joinder, ENTA will relocate its current East Brunswick office and expand with AOANJ, consolidating all physicians under one roof. Current ENTA physicians Bruce Edelman, M.D., Steven Sabin, M.D., and Sara Axelrod, M.D., will move into a newly-renovated office at 557 Cranbury Road.

Dr. Horowitz and Dr. Kaplan will close their current Morganville location at 87 Route 520 and ENTA will complete renovations to expand its Old Bridge office, allowing the two new physicians to see patients at the Old Bridge location. These changes follow the recent additions of Deborah F. Rosin, M.D., and Carl A. Mazzara, M.D., to ENTA’s Woodbridge location. Dr. Rosin and Dr. Mazzara are expected to begin seeing adult and pediatric patients in Q2 2019. ENTA will now have more than 25 physicians practicing in Central New Jersey.

Dr. Horowitz grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., and received his bachelor’s degree with summa cum laude distinction from the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Yale University and won the Nicholas J. Giarman award for an outstanding thesis. Dr. Horowitz completed his residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Yale in 1992 after which he joined private practice in Central New Jersey. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a fellow of both the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Horowitz is chief of otolaryngology at St. Peter's University hospital, as well as a clinical associate professor of surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. For numerous years, he has received the distinction of New Jersey Monthly's top doctors.

Dr. Kaplan grew up in Hewlett-Woodmere, N.Y., and Cherry Hill, N.J. He received his bachelor’s degree with magna cum laude distinction from the University of Pennsylvania. He spent next nine years at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, receiving his Doctor of Medicine and residency training in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. Upon the completion of his training in 1996, Dr. Kaplan joined Dr. Horowitz, bringing with him broad-based skills in modern endoscopic sinus surgery, head and neck surgery, and pediatric otolaryngology. Dr. Kaplan is a diplomate of the American Board of Otolaryngology and a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He was listed as one of the top doctors in New Jersey Monthly in 2017 and 2018.
