NJ CRICKET COUNCIL & USACPL Organized Independence Cup - 2019

New Jersey Cricket Council (NJ Cricket Council) in association with USA Cricket Premier League (USACPL.COM) organized one of the Mega Night Cricket Extravaganza involving the Best Cricket Teams from Tri-State Area. Sixteen Top Teams from NJ, NY & PA participated in this year’s Independence Cup that was held as part of July 4th Celebrations under Flood Lights at 3D grass turf fields. It is important to note that Independence Cup Night Cricket Championship is organized every year in July under the guidance of Ex Player and now ICC Qualified Coach & Fully Certified Cricket Umpire Mudassar Safdar of NJ Cricket Council. This year's tournament comprised of many exciting and thrilling matches between some of the quality teams of the region. After initial rounds and tournament Play Offs, 4 top teams Atlantic City Titans, EVO9X Stallions, Rockland United & Team Sloggers reached the semi-final stage of the Championship. In the semi-finals, New Jersey’s team Atlantic City Titans defeated New York’s Rockland United and Brooklyn NY’s EVO9X Stallions beat NJ Sloggers. The Final of this Exclusive Night Cricket Championship was played between Team Atlantic City Titans NJ & Team EVO9X Stallions NY at Tinton Falls, New Jersey. The guests of honor for the Final were prominent figures of the community Nadeem Saleem, Sanjay Chowdary, Kamran Khan & Mujeeb Lodhi who also graced the occasion for the prize distribution ceremony.

The Championship nights transformed into fun nights for everyone with thrilling Cricket games along with DJ Music and where Dinner was served by the organizers to all the players, support staff and spectators. In the Final of this mega championship, Atlantic City Titans NJ & EVO9X Stallions NY both teams played a terrific match and at the end it was Brooklyn New York's team EVO9X Stallions who came to the party and kept their nerves to go past the finishing line and won the NJ Cricket Council & USACPL Independence Cup – 2019 Night Cricket Extravaganza. The honorable guests distributed fabulous awards and prizes to the Champions, Runner-up and other top performers of the tournament. Waseem Jutt of Team Stallions was adjudged MVP whereas Rashid Ali of Team AC Titans got the award for the Best Bowler of the Championship. Chief Organizer Mudassar Safdar presented the glittering Championship Trophy to Muhammad Ali of winning team EVO9X Stallions. The participating Team members thanked the efforts of NJ Cricket Council’s Mr Mudassar Safdar who has always been a key figure in organizing quality cricket tournaments across New Jersey. It is pertinent to mention here that with the efforts of Mudassar Safdar and his team, USACPL has also successfully organized the first ever Weekend Night Cricket T10 League in New Jersey this year.
