USACPL & NJ Cricket Council Organized Champions Trophy 2019

USA Cricket Premier League (USACPL.COM) in association with New Jersey Cricket Council (NJ Cricket Council) successfully organized one of the Mega Night Cricket Extravaganza involving the Best Cricket Teams of the region. More than fifty (50) teams from NJ, NY, PA & CT showed interest to be a part of Champions Trophy 2019 but only Sixteen (16) Top Teams were selected following a pre-set criteria. The tournament draws were held in the presence of Team Captains & their representatives at a Kick Off meeting in a local hotel few days prior to the start date. The Finals of this Annual Championship was played during Labor Day Weekend under Flood Lights at 3D grass turf fields in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. It is important to note that Champions Trophy Night Cricket Extravaganza is organized every year in August/September under the guidance of Ex Cricket Player and now ICC Qualified Coach & Fully Certified Cricket Umpire Mudassar Safdar of NJ Cricket Council.

All the matches of this year Champions Trophy were very thrilling and exciting. All sixteen (16) teams played exceptional cricket during the tournament. After initial rounds and Play Offs, 4 top teams NJ Rebels, Pak Shaheen CC, Rockland United & Bronx Kings Club reached the semi-final stage of the Championship. In the semi-finals, Pak Shaheen Cricket Club defeated New Jersey Rebels where as New York’s Rockland United beat Bronx Kings Club. The Final of this Fun-Packed Night Cricket Extravaganza was played between Team Pak Shaheen Cricket Club NJ & Team Rockland United NY at Tinton Falls, New Jersey. The guests of honor for the Finals were prominent figures of the community Kamran Khan, Irfan Sadiq, Imran Khan & Farooq Chohan who also graced the occasion for the post tournament prize distribution ceremony along with the Tournament/League Organizer Mudassar Safdar.

Like the past few years, this year’s Championship also provided a lot of Fun for everyone with Exciting Cricket games along with DJ Music and where every night Dinner was served by NJ Cricket Council not only to all the players & team’s support staff but also to the spectators and everyone else present at the grounds.

In the Final of Champions Trophy 2019, Pak Shaheen Cricket Club NJ & Rockland United NY both teams played a great match but at the end it was Team Pak Shaheen Cricket Club who came to the party and kept their nerves to go past the finishing line and won the NJ Cricket Council & USACPL.COM Champions Trophy – 2019 Night Cricket Extravaganza.

Moreover, the Finals of first ever USACPL T10 Night Cricket Bash were also held last weekend. It is pertinent to mention that with the efforts of Mudassar Safdar and his team, USACPL has successfully organized the T10 Night Cricket League during the summer of 2019. In the finals of Division 1 of this Floodlight Tape ball T10 Cricket League, Yonkers New York Team AJK Cricket Club defeated New Jersey’s Team Piscataway CC (Rebels 2) and became the First Champions of USACPL T10 Night Cricket Bash, whereas the Division 2 Final was won by Pennsylvania’s Team Bensalem Cricket Club by defeating New Jersey’s Team Desi Warriors.

The honorable guests distributed fabulous awards and prizes to the Champions, Runner-up and other top performers of the Championships. Husnain Munir of Pak Shaheen CC was adjudged MVP whereas Sohaib Nasir of Team Rockland United got the award for the Best Bowler of this year’s Champions Trophy 2019. Ayaz Mehmood of Team Rebels grabbed the trophy for Best Batsman of T10 Night Cricket League. Member of the Organizing Committee Mr. Mudassar Safdar presented the glittering Championship Trophy to the winning teams. He Congratulated all the teams for playing Competitive & Excellent Cricket throughout the competitions. He thanked all the Team Captains & Players for making these events a success.
