Water Mains Being Replaced In Middlesex Borough
NJ American Water is replacing a water main that has been in operation since the 1950s, under Chestnut St. from Raritan Avenue to C Street.

MIDDLESEX, NJ — The local water utility, New Jersey American Water, is replacing approximately 1,300 feet of aging water main in the Middlesex Borough area.
The company is replacing a water main that has been in operation since the 1950s, which runs under Chestnut Street from Raritan Avenue to C Street. It will be replaced by a new ductile iron main.
The project also includes replacing three fire hydrants and approximately 27 utility-owned service lines along the pipeline route.

The work began last week and is expected to be finished by the end of March. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
CRJ Contracting was hired by NJ American Water to do the main replacement.
