All Monmouth County Libraries Are Closed Thursday

Just stay home and off the roads! Monmouth County is expected to get 8 to 12 inches, the National Weather Service says.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Just stay home! All libraries in Monmouth County are closed today, as are many businesses and schools. Monmouth County courts are also closed.

The Jersey Shore is now predicted to get the worst of this storm. Blizzard conditions are predicted for the Shore, with more snow than previously expected. Coastal Ocean County to Cape May County may get 12-18 inches, while Monmouth County is expected to get 8 to 12 inches.

The heaviest snow will fall until 2 p.m. and then taper off. A state of emergency has been declared for Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic, and Cape May counties. As of now, there is no travel ban on the roads.
