Back On the Auction Block: 18 King's Highway, Middletown
Minimum bid for the old, 7,800 square foot building is $250,000

A Middletown property is back up for the highest bidder as part of a multiparcel auction taking place Wednesday at the Newark Marriott, at 2 p.m.
The minimum bid is $250,000.
Nineteen other housing, farm and commercial properties are also up for auction by order of the bank, from areas outside of New Jersey.

The building was formerly used as a daycare for young children. It is located across the street from the Town Hall complex.

The 7,800-square foot building dates back to 1820. According to Monmouth County property records, in 2013 the land and buildings were assessed at $1 million. It was marketed for $850,000, but did not find a buyer.
It was most recently known as Red Oak Village School. It has also operated as Little Village Day Care Center.
MaxSpann had previously announced the building would be auctioned on November 16, 2012, but it has not been sold.
