Chris Christie Holding First Town Hall Since 'Bridgegate'

New Jersey governor's first town hall since the GWB lane closure scandal erupted will be held in Middletown on Thursday.

Gov. Chris Christie will revive his town hall sessions with an appearance in Middletown on Thursday.

While the second round of federal Superstorm Sandy recovery funds may be the focus of the session, Christie's 110th town hall marks his first appearance taking questions from a crowd since the George Washington Bridge lane closure scandal unraveled in early January.

Christie will be joined by members of his cabinet to outline plans for distributing the funding.

Following the town hall session, a Christie Administration Mobile Cabinet will remain on site to meet with affected residents and answer questions related to the available Sandy recovery housing and business assistance programs. Homeowners and business owners interested in attending can expedite the process by bringing relevant documentation related to the issue they are facing.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Middletown VFW Post 2179 in Port Monmouth. Doors open at 10 am. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and open to the public. No bags of any kind are permitted in the venue. Residents may RSVP for the session at TownHall.Middletown@gov.state.nj.us
