1 Killed In Fatal Middletown Motorcycle Crash Tuesday
A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger injured Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Thompson and Center avenues in Leonardo.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Thompson and Center avenues in Middletown, said police.
A passenger on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was flown by New Jersey State Police helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.
This fatal crash happened at 1:28 p.m. in the Leonardo section of the Township.

The crash involved a passenger car and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries. The Asbury Park Press reported it was a pick-up truck that hit the motorcyclist.
The driver of the pick-up remained on location and is cooperating with Middletown Police in the investigation. The names of the people involved are not being released at this time, pending notification to their families.
