Fireworks Near Me: Middletown’s 4th Of July 2020

Patch has your complete guide to Fourth of July fireworks shows, parades and other festive events in and around Middletown.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel the annual Fourth of July events; Middletown hasn't offered fireworks to residents in years.

Here are Independence Day activities still happening nearby: Hackensack Meridian will still hold their fireworks from Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank on July 3. Navesink and Beacon Hill country clubs’ fireworks are expected to be held in September and October.

To safeguard supporters, the typical family event that accompanies the show will not happen. But the traditional fireworks display will still go off between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. and will be dedicated to the community’s frontline workers, including health care heroes and other essential personnel.

The fireworks are traditionally visible along the Navesink River in the section nearest to the Oceanic Bridge, according to Hackensack Meridian.
