UPDATE: The dog has been safely returned to her owner.
A reader reached out to us on the Middletown Patch Facebook page regarding a German Shepherd found in Middletown. We quickly put together a post and shared it on social media to our local readers. The Facebook post—which received over 200 shares—made it possible to identify this dog’s owner and ensure her safe return. The German Shepherd is now safe, happy and at home!

Found Dog in Middletown
Female German Shepherd was found near Monmouth Road/Chapel Hill in Middletown, NJ. She is an older German Shepherd and not micro chipped. She is currently with Middletown Animal Control.
