Four Injured in Parkway Crash in Middletown

One remains listed in critical condition, according to State Police.

Four were transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center following an accident on the Garden State Parkway in Middletown on Sunday, according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Adam Grossman. 

At about 9 a.m., a silver Nissan Versa containing four people was driving in the local lanes near mile marker 110.8 when the car veered off to the left side of the highway and struck the guide rail, according to Sgt. Grossman. 

The rear passengers, identified as Meghana Kadu, 60, and Ravindranath Kadu, 59, both of Jersey City, suffered serious head injuries. Ravindranath remains listed in critical condition, according to Sgt. Grossman. 

The identity of the other two passengers was not available. Sgt. Grossman said they were transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure. 

The cause of the one-vehicle accident remains under investigation.
