Free Keansburg COVID Testing Thursday; Long Branch Saturday

Walk-up testing; first come, first served. This is for Monmouth County residents only and residents will be asked to show photo ID.

KEANSBURG, NJ — Monmouth County will offer free COVID testing Thursday in Keansburg, and then Saturday in Long Branch.

This is walk-up testing; no appointment required. Tests will be administered inside and outside, depending on the weather. This testing is for Monmouth County residents only; you will be asked to show photo ID. The schedule for this week is as follows:

  • Thursday, Jan. 21 in Keansburg from 4 to 7 p.m. at the New Point Comfort Firehouse, 192 Carr Ave.
  • Saturday, Jan. 23 in Long Branch from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bucky James Community Center, 231 Wilbur Ray Ave.

Residents should note each clinic has 200 tests and once those are administered, the clinics will close for the day.

As of Jan. 20, Monmouth County was second in the state with the highest number of COVID cases. As of Wednesday, there are 330 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County and 16 new deaths due to COVID.

To date, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Monmouth County since March is 40,365. The number of total deaths is not known. As of Jan. 19, there are 452 hospitalized, 67 in intensive care (ICU) and 49 on ventilators in Monmouth County due to COVID-19.

Information about the County’s COVID-19 testing program is available on www.visitmonmouth.com. Residents are encouraged to fill out the testing requisition form ahead of testing in order to expedite the process.
