Man Faces Charge He Attempted To Punch a Middletown Patrolman

A 42-year old Middletown man has been charged with attempting to assault a uniformed police officer with a punch to the face.
Richard Castles Jr. of White Street in Middletown is alleged to have tried to throw a punch at the face of Ptl. Charles Higgins during an incident on Monday that also involved a accusation that he was asked to leave a Harmony Road residence but would not.
He faces charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and defiant trespass and is being held on $5,000 bail set by Judge Richard Thompson, according to court information via the APP.com's Data Universe.
