Matawan Man Killed In Tuesday's Middletown Motorcycle Crash
Garrett Dlin, 30, of Matawan, died at the scene. A Middletown woman on the back of his motorcycle was seriously injured, as well.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — A Matawan man has been identified as the person killed Tuesday afternoon in the fatal motorcycle/pickup truck collision in the Leonardo section of Middletown.
This is the crash that happened at 1:28 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Thompson and Center avenues in Leonardo. Even the driver of the pick-up truck sustained minor injuries.
Garrett Dlin, 30, of Matawan, was driving the motorcycle. He sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.

A woman on the back of his bike, 31, from Middletown, sustained serious injuries. She was transported by New Jersey State Police medevac helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, located in Neptune City.
As of Wednesday, the Middletown woman is in stable condition, and her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

Initial Patch report: 1 Killed In Fatal Middletown Motorcycle Crash Tuesday (June 29)
The driver of the pick-up truck, a 56-year-old Freehold Twp. man, remained on the scene and is cooperating with Middletown Police in the investigation. He sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash and was treated at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
