Middletown: Car Drives Into Pole On Hwy. 36

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — The Middletown EMS squad shared these photos of a serious accident on Hwy. 36 Monday night, where an out-of-control pick-up truck hit a telephone pole in Port Monmouth.

The force of the impact cut the pole in half and the pole was brought down onto telephone wires.

The accident happened at approximately 7:40 p.m. near Two Rivers community bank on Hwy. 36 in Port Monmouth. The drive of the red pick-up truck had some minor injuries, but he declined to go to the hospital.

Lincroft First Aid and Port Monmouth fire crews also responded.
