Middletown Extends Deadline To Sept. 8 For Free Tutoring
Many families in Middletown will qualify for the free tutoring; max gross income is $75,750? for a family of two:

MIDDLETOWN, NJ ? Middletown is extending the application deadline to next Friday, Sept. 8 for families who qualify and want to apply to the town's Next Generation Support Program.
This fall, Middletown Township will offer free tutoring services to students from income-eligible households who have fallen behind academically due to the pandemic.
Tutoring will take place on Saturdays from September 30 through November 18 at the Middletown Township Public Library (55 New Monmouth Road). Tutoring will not be held on Saturday, November 4 or Saturday, November 11.

- The tutoring is for students ranging from 3rd through 8th grade in the 2023-2024 school year
- There will be Language Arts and Math lessons based on the New Jersey Student Learning Standards
- There will be hands-on educational activities
- Students will be grouped by grade level
- Household information pertains to the student's primary residence
- Students' academic levels will be assessed to determine if they are eligible
