Middletown Installs Parking Meters At Ideal Beach, Train Station
Middletown installed "smart" parking meters at the Ideal Beach parking lot and in the daily parking lot at the Middletown train station.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Middletown installed “smart” parking meters at the Ideal Beach parking lot and in the daily parking lot at the Middletown train station.
The "smart" parking meters were installed at Ideal Beach just before Memorial Day weekend, and were installed at the Middletown train station at the beginning of the year.
This comes as Middletown is making a lot of changes to Ideal Beach, which last summer was plagued with out-of-towners: Middletown changed the parking at Ideal (No parking at any time on the north side of Bayside Parkway and Bayside Parkway became a one way for the summer), and Middletown is even thinking about requiring beach badges for Ideal.

For the parking meters, you can pay with a credit card (Visa, Master Card, Amex and Discover), debit card or the mPay2Park mobile app, which works like EZ Pass.
If you already have this app, you are already registered and do not need to register again. Once registered, simply follow the directions listed on the front of the meter.

If you choose to use the app — instead of paying by credit or debit card — one benefit is you can remotely add time from your cell phone.
The mPay2Park app is free to download.
Daily parking at the Middletown train station is only one zone, Zone #12501. The Ideal Beach lot is Zone #12502.
